Crawford Engineers is a consulting engineering firm established by Michael A. Crawford, P.E. in January 2005.  The firm provides consulting services related to potable water, sanitary wastewater, industrial wastewater, hazardous waste treatment, and a variety of specialty services in the environmental engineering field.  Clients include municipal water and wastewater utilities, private water companies, industrial manufacturers, attorneys, developers, investors, and consulting engineering firms throughout the United States.

From 1976 to 1989 Mr. Crawford served as a project engineer, program manager and senior technical consultant for engineering firms in the eastern United States.  In 1989 he established the consulting firm Environmental Engineering & Remediation in Portland, Maine.  The engineering business was sold to Aquarion Water, a U.S. subsidiary of Kelda (formerly Yorkshire Water) in February 2001.  Mr. Crawford served as a senior technical consultant to Aquarion Water until 2005 when he established Crawford Engineers.

Michael Crawford graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering and obtained a MS in Environmental Engineering from Northeastern University.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in a number of states throughout the United States.  Mr. Crawford is flexible to serve clients in a variety of roles.  He has participated as a senior consultant to other consulting firms, conducted engineering analysis for private water companies and municipal utilities, served as a program manager overseeing large engineering contracts for clients and provided independent reviews and expert witness services.
